1. Is there a Windows version of SmartWrap?

Yes! It was released the last week of November, 1999.

2. A bunch of headers are wrapped at the top of my message! How can I avoid this?

There is an intrinsic inconsistency in the interface Eudora Pro 4.0 or greater provides to its plugins that can't be overcome. Try selecting the text you would like to SmartWrap by dragging through it, and then select SmartWrap from the Toolbar or it's menu item. Just be sure not to select any of the headers.

This problem exists only with the full Eudora version. Eudora Light for Windows does not have this problem. This problem does not exist with the Macintosh versions either.

3. Will my Macintosh registration codes work with the Windows version?

No, the Macintosh and Windows versions of SmartWrap are two very different beasts. The two versions cannot use each other's registration codes. They must be purchased individually.

4. I can't find the Eudora Plug-in! I downloaded the archive, extracted it, and it's just not there. Where is it?

Windows 95, 98, and NT do not display files whose names end with a ".dll" extension by default. The Eudora Plug-in has a .dll extension. To make the file visible, do this:

  1. Open the SmartWrap folder that was extracted from the self extracting archive.
  2. Choose "Options" from the "View" menu.
  3. Locate and enable the option to show ALL file types.
  4. Your Eudora Plug-in DLL should now be visible.
5. Does SmartWrap™ work on incoming AND outgoing messages in Eudora?

Yes.
